Meet Your Tour Guides Emily Dixon '29My name is Emily and I am a rising junior at RMC, double majoring in Secondary Education and Theatre, and minoring in English. Something notable about me is that I am a commuter student. I really appreciate how RMC strives to make sure that every commuter student can find their community here on campus. Whether it's through campus events or the help of the Commuter Students Association, finding your place here at RMC as a commuter is a very supportive process. I’m also very passionate about the performing arts and am heavily involved on campus through the LUXE Show Choir, the theatre program. I even serve as the business managerfor the Theatre Honors Society on campus. Last summer, I also participated in RMC’s summer research program called SURF. I worked with a computer science student to help create a virtual reality program for the Education Department.The program is designed to help preservice teachers learn more about classroom management. If you come during Speciality Tours Week, you can learn even more about my involvements!  Kara Suggs '27My name is Kara and I am a rising senior majoring in Sociology and minoring in Theatre. I am a member of the Honors Program, having earned an award for my leadership and participation my sophomore year, and have loved being involved in several other academic and leadership organizations throughout my time at RMC. I am a member of multiple Honors Societies on campus, and even serve as Vice President of the Theatre honors society, Additionally, I am also a Leadership Fellow on campus. Outside of academics, I stay involved in the arts through the LUXE Show Choir and the theatre program as both a designer and performer. I also had the amazing opportunity to study abroad in the Netherlands during my junior year during J-Term. It was such an amazing experience and I would recommend studying abroad to everyone at RMC! J-Term makes it so easy since it's only during the month of January, so I didn’t need to miss any of the exciting events happening on campus during the spring or the fall. Lastly, I’m a huge fan of the Esports Team! One of my roommates is a team captain, so I have watched lots of esports matches and have developed a close personal relationship with the director.
