Emily Dixon '29

My name is Emily and I am a rising junior at RMC, double majoring in Secondary Education and Theatre, and minoring in English. Something notable about me is that I am a commuter student. I really appreciate how RMC strives to make sure that every commuter student can find their community here on campus. Whether it's through campus events or the help of the Commuter Students Association, finding your place here at RMC as a commuter is a very supportive process. I’m also very passionate about the performing arts and am heavily involved on campus through the LUXE Show Choir, the theatre program. I even serve as the business managerfor the Theatre Honors Society on campus. Last summer, I also participated in RMC’s summer research program called SURF. I worked with a computer science student to help create a virtual reality program for the Education Department.The program is designed to help preservice teachers learn more about classroom management. Claudia Flores '28

My name is Claudia and I am a rising junior at RMC. I am majoring in Nursing and minoring in Spanish. I love being a part of the Nursing program! I feel like the experience is really preparing me for post grad work, all of my peers and professors are so kind and fun, and I really enjoy all of the clinical work that I am exposed to. I’m also involved in lots of different clubs on campus, including ASL (American Sign Language) club, Circle K International, and SERVE.  I also serve as the SGA president for our student government. Because of this I got to play an active role and give a speech during the inauguration of our most recent president!
