Instrumental Students – Upload the Following:

Introduction: Begin your video by introducing yourself — share your musical interests, playing experience, and any ensembles you currently play with or have in the past.
Scales: Perform two scales of your choice that best demonstrate tone, technique, and control.
Musical Examples: Perform two contrasting musical examples that showcase your musicianship and skill as a player. These may include etudes, excerpts, or other relevant musical selections

Your video does not need to be one continuous take. You may record each portion separately and splice them together into a single video.

Concert Choir Students – Upload the Following:

Introduction: State your first and last name, the title of your song, and the composer's name at the start of your video.
Solo Performance: Perform one (1) solo in any style that best demonstrates your vocal abilities — such as classical, musical theatre, original composition, or folk/traditional.
Accompaniment: Balance your accompaniment or accompanist appropriately with your standing position for best sound and clarity.
Camera Framing: Record a frontal view from the waist up so both posture and expression are visible.

Your video should be a single continuous take (no edits).

Show Choir/Show Band

Show Choir Students – Upload the Following:

Sing “Happy Birthday” A Cappella: Record a video of you singing “Happy Birthday” without music. Ensure your face and upper body are clearly visible.
Learn the Provided Song: Learn the assigned audition song using the sheet music and accompaniment track found on the Show Choir page. Record a video of you singing with the accompaniment track.
Dance Routine: Learn the audition dance routine using the instructional videos on the Show Choir page. Record a video of you performing the full routine to music.
Attire: Wear neat, comfortable clothing that allows movement.
Headshot: Upload a clear photo headshot.
Interview Questions Video: Record a video of yourself answering the following questions:
1. Why would you like to be accepted into the LUXE Show Choir & Show Band Program?
2. What will make you a great asset to the team?
3. What is one of the greatest lessons you have learned from participating on a team?

Show Band Students – Upload the Following:

Instrumental Audition Video: Record a video of yourself performing one song of your choice (maximum 3 minutes). Demonstrate both pianissimo (soft) and fortissimo (loud) dynamics. Upload this under the “Instrumental Audition Video” section.
Attire: Please wear either a blazer and dress pantsor a dress with heels for the formal instrumental audition.
Headshot: Upload a clear photo headshot.
Interview Questions Video: Record a video of yourself answering the following questions:
1. Why would you like to be accepted into the LUXE Show Choir & Show Band Program?
2. What will make you a great asset to the team?
3. What is one of the greatest lessons you have learned from participating on a team?

Theatre Students – Upload the Following:

Monologue Performances: Perform two contrasting fully memorized monologues, each between 1–2 minutes in length.
- “Contrasting” means the pieces differ in a significant way to demonstrate your acting range, such as:
  - One comic and one dramatic piece, OR
  - One classical piece (pre-1850, such as Shakespeare, Molière, or Greek tragedy) and one contemporary piece.
Optional Singing Component: If you would like to sing, you may choose one of the following options: You may sing with recorded or live accompaniment, or a cappella (without accompaniment).
- ADD 32 bars of a song in addition to your 2 monologues, OR
- Perform 1 monologue + 32 bars of a song.

Your video should be a single continuous take (no edits).
