Freshman applicants have earned a high school diploma and plan to begin their undergraduate studies at Randolph-Macon. Students who have taken college courses prior to high school graduation are considered Freshmen. These candidates should choose between Early Decision, Early Action, or Regular Decision application plans. Learn more about these options!

Freshman applicants can use the RMC application or the Common Application. There is no application fee. (Note for Fall 2027, the Common Application will open on August 1)

Transfer applicants have attended another institution after graduating high school or obtaining a GED. We do not have a minimum number of required hours to be considered a transfer student. There is no application fee.

Non-degree-seeking applicants would like to take classes at Randolph-Macon, but do not plan to obtain a degree through the College. 

Exchange qualified applicants may participate in a semester or year-long exchange program through the International Student Exchange Programs (ISEP) or one of RMC’s exchange partner institutions, such as Kansai Gaidai University, Rikkyo University, Yonsei University, Wroxton College, or others.
